Anti - Fall - Day at the REHACARE Roadshow for Fall Prevention in Düsseldorf
(Fürstenfeldbruck, 20.09.2018) During the REHACARE trade fair, the action group "Less falls at home" will once again offer its "Anti-Sturz-Day": from 26 to 29 September 2018. This roadshow shows people at risk of falling how to avoid falls in the household in a simple, fast and uncomplicated way. In addition to the anti-drop course, there will also be a rollator course on which correct and safe behaviour with the rollator can be trained.
Both the anti-slump course and the walker course are aimed at people at risk of falling and their relatives as well as employees of care services and senior citizen centres. They are run through together with a trainer and provide information about the most important fall triggers at several stations, which are set up analogously to the corresponding areas in the house. In addition, it is shown which possible solutions are sensible at each specific point in the household. The course includes the stations stairs and hallway, kitchen and dining room, living and sleeping as well as bathroom and toilet. In addition, eleven simple anti-crash rules have been compiled, listing the essential aspects of fall prevention. These are also explained in the course. Those who have completed the course receive a certificate and an anti-fall button.
