SALJOL supports the Rollator Day NRW with rollator driving licence and fall prevention
(Fürstenfeldbruck, 16.09.2019) "Mobility knows no age" - this is the motto of the NRW Rollator Day, which is taking place in many cities in North Rhine-Westphalia until 22.9. The central event in Düsseldorf is the kick-off. It is under the patronage of NRW Transportation Minister Hendrik Wüst and will take place today on Heinrich-Heine-Platz in Duesseldorf. The aid company SALOL will offer the rollator driving licence as well as information on fall prevention.
The Rollator Day NRW is organized by the Rheinbahn AG and supported by a number of different organizations1. The aim of the Rollator Day is to show rollator users in a relaxed atmosphere how to use their rollator safely. There will be a rollator course, hearing and reaction tests, a rollator check and participation activities. The exercise programme includes how to use a rollator on uneven ground and in curves, how to negotiate kerbs and slopes, how to brake properly, how to sit down safely and get up again. Getting on and off the bus can also be practised directly on site on a specially provided bus of the Rheinbahn. A free technical check for all walkers completes the offer.
Those who have completed the driving safety training receive a rollator driving licence at the stand of the SALJOL aid company. This certifies the participant that he/she has completed a rollator training and can move safely through traffic with the rollator. SALJOL also offers information and advice on fall prophylaxis for your own apartment or house. The Rollator Day NRW takes place today from 10 - 15 o'clock in Düsseldorf at Heinrich-Heine Platz.
